It has an on off switch the back. Also has a mounting bracket with thumbscrew which could probably be adapted to just about anything. Keep hands off if you purchase.

I do not have an operators manual and know the bulb produces quite a bit of heat but there is glass enclosure on it. This light was originally part of a package which used with JV camcorder.
