There is a place corresponding to the depression on other side where you can push lid up when it pops open. It weighs 11 ounces. I do not have the instruction sheet that would be been included to show how load reel. The cans diameter is 7 inches x approximately 3/8 high when closed.

It is labelled Super 8 with a circled #12, and 9-75 on the top can label. It opens when you press the depression on front of can underneath where it says to open. This comes from a smoke-free environment. This is a fun vintage media storage /display piece for film collectors, photographers, retro decor, prop styling, or movie room displays.

I purchased this at an estate sale and it is in good vintage condition. The inside is in very good condition and the reel also appears to be. The canister is empty meaning no film included or wound on the reel. There are several scratches on the back side of can, consistent with wear over years.

It is labeled flip-top, dual automatic take-up on the front. The faux wood can top is in very good condition with only a couple of scratches. This listing is for a vintage 1970s era Harwood 8mm reel can.
